Winter has crept on us with all the chills! I’m located in Northern Virginia where coats in the winter are a requirement. I came across a color contrast faux fur coat in an old New York & Co catalog and fell in love. I go online and hunt for this coat and of course it’s sold out or not available (it’s that dope). And that’s when I got the bright idea to just make it yourself... but where do I start?
There is no question, I LOVE bright and colorful fashion! This fabric has silver, metallic sequins on one side and a rainbow X design on the other. How did I come across this fabric? I have to thank the talented Tabitha Sewer (fashion blogger/seamstress) for sharing this beauty within the sewing community! Joann Fabrics in my town do not keep this fabric on the floor so I would’ve otherwise missed out! This skirt is just what I need to get my New Year vibes pumping!
As 2018 comes to an end, some of us find ourselves thinking about all the things we didn’t accomplish. I think we should take time to reflect on the things we learned and ways that we can be better, not just for the New Year, but today. Do you make resolutions?
Greetings! I think it’s safe to say sequins is one of this seasons most fashionable looks! Do you agree? I have four different sequins fabrics and two of them have been members of my stash for over 2 years. Why have these glam filled fabrics gone untouched for so long? Well, I was a little intimidated to sew with them. But Why?
